Advanced Plan for Health, LLC (APH) is an advanced and predictive analytics firm based in Westlake, Texas (a suburb of Dallas). Founded in 2004, our firm was built to support companies such as employers, hospitals, health systems, brokers, third party administrators in a better understanding of the current state and potential future state of the health of their populations. 

At the heart of what we do is our passionate people powered by our proprietary advanced and predictive analytics platform called Poindexter. Through this platform, we help our clients to identify those people in their populations who are in need of support, education and guidance due to chronic conditions and co-morbidities, medication risks, gaps in care, events such as hospital admissions and readmissions and more.  

We are seeking an ASP .NET MVC Developer to join our innovative IT team.

Reports To: Senior Developer  

Direct Reports to this Position: None

Location: Westlake, Texas 

Job Purpose: Responsible for software development programming.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework 4.0+
  • Experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC 4/5, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS
  • Strong in SQL Server and T-SQL including stored procedures, indexes and ability to tune queries
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Create software components that follow industry-standard design patterns and development methodologies
  • Involve in all stages of development (i.e. designing, coding, testing and deployment)
  • Provide technical support for the development and programming of a healthcare application
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation

Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Certification, etc.)

  • Bachelors or masters in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of software development experience using ASP .NET MVC and Entity Framework

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have proven programming skills
  • Must be comfortable leading design and development activities
  • Must be analytical, solution-oriented, and possess excellent trouble shooting and time-management skills
  • Must be flexible to ensure off hours support to user community
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to master new technology quickly and to work in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to effectively participate in the software development lifecycle
  • Superior mathematical skills are essential, experience with finance, statistics helpful
  • Experience in healthcare, particularly claims data, helpful
